VILLA GRILLE
A lovingly renovated apartment in a historic Würzburg town villa: vintage furniture meets state-of-the-art comfort – and from the loggia you look out over Marienberg Fortress, the Käppele chapel and the evening sky.
The apartment
Period charm, rethought
Villa Grille has been fully renovated – with respect for the character of the house and a weakness for unusual pieces. Carefully chosen vintage furniture tells its stories, while smart home technology, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom and considered details provide the comfort of today. The generous layout gives you room to arrive: everything you need.
The loggia
Our favourite spot: the view across the city to Marienberg Fortress and the Käppele – at its best when the sun sets behind them.
Vintage meets high tech
Furniture with character and history, combined with lighting scenes, automatic blinds and technology that thinks along quietly. Plus fast Wi-Fi over a fibre connection – for a film night as much as for a video call if you are here on business.
Room to breathe
Spacious rooms, a fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, an elegant bathroom – comfort for a long stay as much as a short one.
Hosted in person
Maike & Sven are always reachable – with tips you will not find in any guidebook.
The location
Sanderau – Würzburg's relaxed side
Sanderau is one of the loveliest residential quarters in the city: quiet streets lined with period facades, the river Main and its footpaths just around the corner, bakeries, cafés and shops within walking distance. The tram stops three minutes away – the old town is a few stops away, or a twenty-minute stroll along the river.
