The loggia

From here you look out across the rooftops of the Sanderau to Marienberg Fortress and, a little to the left, to the Käppele above the vineyards. In the morning it is the best place for a first coffee, in the evening for a glass of Silvaner as the sun goes down behind the fortress. Anyone who has sat here once understands why we do not use the phrase “favourite spot” lightly.

Living and sleeping

The living room is generously proportioned, with light from dormer windows on every side and vintage furniture we have collected over the years. The bedroom is quiet; the sofa bed in the living room sleeps two more guests comfortably enough for more than one night. For the smallest travellers there are two travel cots and a high chair, free of charge. Please tell us in your enquiry how many children are coming and how old they are – then everything will be set up when you arrive.

Set up for working

A proper desk. If you are staying longer, you have a fixed place to work – daylight from the dormer window, and the quiet of the top floor. The internet runs on a fibre connection, so video calls stay stable even when someone is streaming in the next room.

For guests spending a few weeks in Würzburg – for work, for a course, or because someone in the family is being treated at the university hospital – that is often the difference between staying overnight and actually living somewhere.

Kitchen and bathroom

The kitchen is fully equipped: induction hob, oven, fridge, crockery and cookware for four. Anyone who shops at the nearby Edeka or at the Würzburg market can cook here without compromise. The bathroom is elegant and bright, and towels are provided.

Technology that stays out of the way

Lighting scenes, automatic blinds, thoughtful controls – the technology in the house is there when you need it and invisible when you do not. There is nothing to set up and no app to install. When we hand over the keys we will show you in two minutes what switches what.
